A Space in the Heart

Today is New Year's Eve, eve. In about 14 hours from now, a new year will be born so I've decided to pack away some of my physical "stuff", from this year and others long gone.....what-nots, stuffed animals, pictures, etc. As I wrapped and packed each item into a large Tupperware container, which will go to the storage closet downstairs, I took the time to remember who had given it, when it was given, and fondly recalling the story and emotions connected to each item. These items, secure in their blankets of paper, may get lost in the archives of my brain, but will be alive forever, each lovingly placed in the endless space of my heart. Plus..................I'll have a lot less dusting to do!
